Observation logs

The observations sheets (paper) have also been inventoried. They contain essential informations needed to understand the data such as :
– Date and observation length, target ;
– Pointing parameters ;
– Employed receiver and instrumental mode ;
– Output channels and recording format.

**Collection of observing logs**

These sheets represent a collection of 10219 individual files covering the period ranging from 1st Sept. 1977 to 14th Nov. 1997. This interval does not strictly coincide with the films’ one, the 1970-1977 interval matching most of the NDI observations is missing, while the overlap after 1990 where the data were acquired digitally will facilitate the scientific validation of NDA data stored on films. The template of the observation sheets has evolved with time, with 4 different templates.
