The radio decametric observations carried on in Nançay (and Arecibo) between 1970 and 1990 have been recorded on different analog devices, archived in the collections of the Observatory of Paris, on the Meudon site.
During the Arecibo campaign, (Boischot et al. 1971) mentioned that the data were simultaneously recorded on 35-mm films and on magnetic tapes, the latter providing a better intensity dynamics. In Nançay, the principle of the data acquisition is given in a schematics from (Leblanc et al., 1975), reproduced below. It illustrates that the data were simultaneously recored in 4 formats : 35-mm films, magnetic tapes, fac-similés (paper) and sefram (paper). Most of these observations were accompanied by handwritten observation sheets, filled in by the observers operating the instruments.
